North Devon Accounts was set up in 2005 by Rachael Woosey. She has been practicing as a professional accountant for over 20 years.
Rachael originally studied psychology at the University of Surrey but found she had a knack for numbers, and went on to complete her AAT Professional qualification in Accounting.
It was always her dream to one day own her own practice and when she moved to Braunton, in North Devon, she found it was the right time and the perfect setting. As a busy parent, Rachael understands the pressures of juggling working full-time with family commitments. That’s why she wanted to set up an accountancy firm aimed at relieving the strain and stress on small business owners and sole traders.
By managing clients’ day-to-day bookkeeping and accountancy needs it gives them back some free time to pursue their goals – be that expanding their businesses or simply spending more time with family and friends.
In her spare time, Rachael enjoys spending time with her family and long walks on North Devon’s glorious beaches with her dog, Digby. Her claim to fame is that she is a platinum-selling recording artist, having taken part in the Military Wives Choir, formed by Gareth Malone. The choir reached the Christmas number one in 2011 with their single Wherever You Are.
I set out to build a different kind of practice. One where I can work closely with my clients without having to bill for every call, email or chat over a coffee. One where I can forge strong working relationships with my clients and make accounts approachable and affordable. Thus, North Devon Accounts was born.
